Can I leave it on all evening?

Yes, on low or medium. High continuous empties a full cartridge in about an hour and a half, so it is best used briefly to fill the room.

What if a guest is pregnant, brings a baby, or brings a pet?

Keep the scent light, ventilate the room, and keep the diffuser and oils out of reach. Pregnant or breastfeeding guests and those with infants may prefer to check with a professional first, so it is fine to switch the diffuser off. Pets should be able to leave the room freely.
